Racism By Association

A couple of things worth mentioning here. The first is, I hate when people say they aren’t racist because they have black friends. Racism is not defined by your friends. Racism is defined by your actions and how you feel deep down in your heart. I personally poke fun at racial stereotypes mostly to get people to think and discuss the problem (yes it IS a problem). The reality it, in today’s world, people are constantly perpetuating racism. Whether it is through hateful messages or living up to stereotypes. Regardless, I think people should be accepted for who they are and the differences between each of us to not need to divide, but could be used to unite.

Second, everything I just said about racism, can also be applied to gay people. Don’t fear what you don’t understand. Don’t hate because people are different. Take it from me, I am the most unique person I know!
